This song came from the writing sessions for the second album before Adam Stewart joined the band while Thommy Razor was still pounding skins for the band.
This song was scrapped when Charley Huwig took over the drum duties and the writing process started anew.
lyrics
I look in your face
And not a shred of care
It makes me wonder if
It was it ever there
Take your precious time
Find your own skin
Make damn sure it’s one
You can live within
I meant no harm
I didn't need you to change
I liked who you were
You chose to rearrange
Sometimes I blame myself
I shouldn't let you in
You touched my fragile heart
And gave up again
I’m overwhelmed by a sea of self-doubt
The water magnifies my flaws
And shoves them right back in my face
I feel like a hideous thriving disease
Everyone shies away from me
I’m lost inside a null space now
I think you might be right
I'm too good for you
But that taste on your tongue
Was not one of truth
Though I know it’s wrong
I’m doubting everyone
Still tied in the knots
Your noose can’t be undone
The sad part of it all
I am what you’ll need
After you’ve explored
All the ones that will leave
I look into your eyes
And still try to see
If you can comprehend
You meant the world to me
I’m overwhelmed by a sea of self-doubt
The water magnifies my flaws
And shoves them right back in my face
I feel like a hideous thriving disease
Everyone shies away from me
I’m lost inside a null space now
I’m overwhelmed by a sea of self-doubt
The water magnifies my flaws
And shoves them right back in my face
I feel like a hideous thriving disease
Everyone shies away from me
I’m lost inside a null space now
When I’m under pressure
It was the last I spoke to you
You can test my patience
I wish I could just hate you
