This song came from the writing sessions for the second album before Adam Stewart joined the band while Thommy Razor was still pounding skins for the band.
Adam had added parts to this song when he came aboard, but this song was scrapped when Charley Huwig took over the drum duties and the writing process started anew.
lyrics
You want something done, you better do it yourself
Like genocide it’ll cause some hell
It’s just the satisfaction of being free
Now, you know what it’s like to be me YEAH
This is a generation of fascination
Take a look around and kill the frustration
You’re better off without it my friend, No direct relation
This is the time to rise
You can’t stop the fathom machine
And let go of the things between
So, dig inside your head this is apathy
Trying to control the fathom machine
Dreams and fears are one within
The blood in the sky creates a temperament
So, don’t let it under your skin, this is another creation
From the dreams and fears that shut you down
Inside your head they’ll twirl around
This is the time to rise
You can’t stop the fathom machine
And let go of the things between
I can’t, I won’t just be controlled
Unless there’s another there to save my soul
You were the one that could see right through
I’ll never find another side of you
You can’t stop the fathom machine
Let go of the things between
You can’t stop the fathom machine
Let go of the things between
